UTV Brand Accessories and Upgrades

Introduction to UTV Brand Accessories and Upgrades

I have driven UTVs for many hours over the years, experiencing everything from rough mountain routes to marshy woods to huge stretches of desert.

Although a UTV is great straight off the showroom floor, I soon realized they could do with it a lot of tools and proper upgrades.

Personalizing your UTV means more than simply making it look good.

It also means boosting safety, comfort, and performance for a more pleasurable ride.

The flexibility of UTVs is one of their greatest features.

From an upgraded suspension that better handles rough terrain to a lighting system that turns night into day, the options are almost endless.

I’ve had the opportunity to test out several different accessories and upgrades, each offering a different way to improve the car.

In this article, I’ll walk you through my personal experiences with UTV brand equipment, highlighting the improvements that have made the biggest difference in my travels.

Essential UTV Accessories for Performance

Essential UTV accessories for performance help my UTV’s power and capabilities.

Suspension Kits

UTV Upgraded Suspension

Suspension kits were my first modification.

To be honest, it’s perhaps one of the most significant adjustments you can make to your vehicle.

Early on, I found the stock suspension just didn’t cut it on the tight roads I liked.

The rocks, and uneven terrain threw me around in the UTV and made it hard to control.

I became uncomfortable and angry from a particularly difficult ride, so I decided to add a long trip suspension system.

It was an investment, but believe me when I say that it was well worth it.

The new suspension mechanism attracted ridges that previously looked like small earthquakes.

Not only did it make the ride smoother, but it also gave me more confidence to handle the rough terrain.

I remember walking back down the same slope and feeling like I was falling over the rocks and paths that once shook me to my core.

I could now comfortably power over branches and rocks that I would have avoided previously because of the additional ground clearance.

An upgraded suspension system should be your first consideration if you’re serious about off-roading.

The choice is simple—either risk your investment or spend a few minutes on this Innovations and Technology in UTVs. I know which one I would pick if I were you.

Winches

UTV Winch

Winches are very much helpful, particularly in places where getting stranded is very likely to happen.

It was a vividly memorable experience getting deep into the muddy tunnel before installing the winch.

My UTV was buried all the way to the axle because I had misjudged the depth of the mud hole.

I tried to get myself out for hours before giving up and calling a friend for assistance.

That day I vowed never to winch out again.

I went with a synthetic rope winch rated for 4500 pounds.

The first time I got stuck after installing it, I smiled instead of groaning.

Within minutes, I had my UTV winched out of the muck and was back on the route.

I am really happy that I can overcome challenges by myself without needing any external assistance.

It’s not just about pulling out, either; I’m using my winch to help friends who are also stuck.

Regardless of being bogged down in dirt, quicksand or snow the winch remains one of the most important gear pieces.

Tires and Wheels

Tires and wheels will be Depending on the type of terrain you ride on.

Selecting the proper tires and wheels for your UTV can significantly impact its performance.

I previously stuck with stock tires, but soon discovered their shortcomings.

On flat roads they were adequate, but as soon as they hit mud, sand or rocks, they struggled to give me the traction I needed.

I decided to try different tires based on the terrain I was exploring.

For muddy roads, I upgraded to deep mud tires, which worked like a cure.

This tire had aggressive tread across the toughest dirt and gave me the confidence to go into places I would not have ventured before.

For desert dunes, I switched to sand tires, and the difference was night and day.

Where my stock tires would have bogged down in the soft sand, these tires kept me gliding smoothly over the surface.

I even invested in rock-crawling tires for some of the more technical trails.

Their durability and grip were invaluable when tackling steep, rocky climbs.

Tire TypeTerrain Performance Recommend Wheel Size
All Terrain TiresMixed Surface (dirt, gravel, light mud)Versatile but average 12-14 inches
Mud TiresMud, wet areasExcellent traction 14-15 inches
Sand TiresSand dunes, soft sandSuperior flotation 12-14 inches
Rock TiresRocky, uneven terrain Great durability 14-15 inches

Comfort and Convenience Upgrades

UTV Roof Rack

Comfort and convenience upgrades make my UTV rides more enjoyable for long adventures.

Roof Racks and Storage Solutions

UTV Storage Box

Roof racks and storage solutions are very essential for my long journeys.

I soon discovered that my UTV’s storage capacity was insufficient for all the equipment I needed to haul when I went on lengthy journeys.

I was always battling to find room for my camping supplies, tools, and replacement parts.

That’s when I decided to install a storage roof and a storage box, which completely changed how I approached longer drives.

The roof compartment allowed me to store larger items like a tent and sleeping bag, and provided handy space in the UTV for more important items.

The lockable storage box kept my valuables safe and dry, which was especially important when crossing rivers or riding in rainy conditions.

I remember one trip where a sudden downpour soaked everything around us, but all my stuff remained perfectly dry in the trunk.

If you’re planning on extended adventures or need to carry a lot of gear, upgrading your storage solution is a must.

Not only does this make your UTV more efficient, but it adds extra convenience, ensuring everything is organized and safe.

Heated Seats and Steering Wheels

Heated Seats and Steering Wheels

Heated seats and steering wheels are very helpful for cold journeys.

Prior to taking my UTV out on a chilly winter morning, I used to believe heated seats were a luxury I didn’t need.

Even with my heavy gloves and jacket, I was shivering before I even started because it was below freezing.

That’s when I realized that riding in the cold may be a lot more pleasurable with a little more heat.

I have heated seats and a heated steering wheel, and I cannot ride without them in the cold.

Heat seeps through the seat fabric, making even the coldest days feel manageable.

One winter drive in particular stands out, where we spent hours on icy roads.

While everyone else complained about the weather, I was comfortably warm the whole time.

Heated seats and a heated steering wheel aren’t just options for individuals who prefer chilly seats; they’re necessary upgrades that improve the ride.

Safety and Protection Accessories

Safety and protection accessories are always my first priority.

Roll Cages and Bumpers

UTV Roll Cage And Bumpers

Roll cages and bumpers are the must have UTV accessories for safety and protection.

I am always cautious about safety, but experience already has taught me how important it is to update your UTV’s roll cage and bumper.

I was coming down a particularly steep hill when the UTV turned on its side.

Thankfully, the stock roll cage held up, but the incident shook me.

Aftermarket roll cages and heavy-duty bumpers were the things I opted for my investment.

The new roll cage was an extremely strong structure, which provided me with more assurance that if something similar happened to me again in life I would be able to stand it.

The bumpers provided extra protection when riding in dense forest or rocky terrain.

I brushed over more than a few trees and rocks, and the bumpers saved my UTV from major damage each time.

Lighting Upgrades

Lighting upgrades are another essential accessory for night adventures.

I immediately discovered that the factory lighting on my UTV were far from sufficient when I first started riding at night.

Although the tiny road ahead was well-lit, I had the impression that I was driving in the dark as soon as I turned into rougher roads.

I decided to improve my lighting setup after spending a few anxious nights in the car.

The improvement was amazing when I added more spotlights and an LED light bar.

The LED light bar lit up the entire trail in front of me, while the spotlights provided focused beams for longer-distance visibility.

One memorable night ride through a dense forest stands out—before, I would have been crawling cautiously through the trees.

But with the upgraded lights, I could see everything clearly and ride with confidence.

Conclusion and Recommendations

Without a doubt, I can infer that every modification I made on my UTV has made it easier for me to enjoy off-roading.

While heated seats and storage options have made my car pleasant and practical, upgraded suspension kits, winches, tires, and lights have improved performance and safety.

When you first start making modifications to your UTV, you should prioritize safety and performance.

The way your UTV handles tough terrain will be immediately and noticeably improved with suspension adjustments and winches.

After that, consider investing in accessories that improve comfort and convenience, like heated seats and better storage.

Your UTV becomes an extremely competent vehicle with each update you make, prepared for whatever road trip you undertake.

I have loved every second of this journey and am eager to see where it will go.

I can’t imagine why anyone would ignore this How to Choose the Right UTV Brand when the stakes are so high. If I were you, I wouldn’t gamble with my hard-earned money.
